OPTOPROG: THE BLUETOOTH INTERFACE FOR POWER ANALYZERS

A plug & play solution to connect, set-up and monitor Carlo Gavazzi’s power analyzers by means of your smartphone or PC.

Lainate, January 2019 - Carlo Gavazzi Automation, the international electronics group with activities in the design,manufacture and marketing of electronic equipment, presents the new OptoProg device.

The OptoProg is a battery operated device to be connected to the WM20, WM30, WM40, WM50 or ET112, ET330 and ET340 families of analyzers, by means of their optical port.

The embedded Bluetooth communication allows the user to connect a Smartphone (via UCS Mobile Android APP) or a PC (via UCS Desktop software) to the meter, to configure it, display the values and check that everything works correctly.

By using the OptoProg, the user can operate safely, with no need for electrical connections between the power analyzer and the smartphone or PC.

“Working in combination with one of our power analyzers, the Optoprog is the ideal solution for users who need to perform set-up and commissioning tasks in a safe and flexible way,” Alessio Costantini, International Product Manager, says. “We believe that the launch of this new device will allow us to strengthen our position in the market dedicated to energy efficiency monitoring.”

Developed in our Competence centre in Italy, the OptoProg is part of Carlo Gavazzi’s package for Energy Efficiency and it is targeted at the following applications: mains metering, data centres and critical load monitoring.

DPB, PPB AND DPC SERIES: WIDE INPUT RANGE THREE-PHASE MONITORING RELAYS

6 new models for high reliability and substantial power reduction.

Lainate, December 2018 - Carlo Gavazzi Automation, the international electronics group with activities in the design, manufacture and marketing of electronic equipment, today presents its new series of three-phase monitoring relays.

These relays have been designed to upgrade our technological level so as to be much more competitive on the market and allow distributors and customers to considerably reduce the number of product items on stock, maintaining the same quality of service.

The main purpose of this launch is to decrease the quantity of relays needed to cover different mains voltages, reducing heat dissipation and making the operation more stable and reliable.

“By means of the switch mode power supply, the input voltage of the DPB/PPB series ranges from 208 VAC to 480 VAC, while the DPC input ranges from 208 VAC to 690 VAC. Additional features of these devices are the extensive frequency range from 50 Hz to 400 Hz, the significant reduction in power consumption and the high immunity to mains noise,” says Mark Wilkinson – International Product Manager. “Carlo Gavazzi is now able to offer a cost-effective solution, as one single relay can replace many others, without forgetting that not many other competitors can boast a switch mode supply and a frequency range of up to 400 Hz.”

Developed by our Competence Centre in Italy, these series of three-phase monitoring relays are specifically designed for applications where there are motor supplies to be monitored: HVAC systems, Water treatment, Materials handling, Marine (thanks to RINA approval) and Airport/Aircrafts, due to the 400 Hz operating frequency.

• Significant reduction in power consumption:
   2.5VA (Vs 13VA) for DPB/PPB series
   4.5VA (Vs 21VA) for DPC series
• Less heat dissipation
• Wide input voltage and frequency range
• 8 voltage ranges selectable by DIP switch for DPB/PPB series, 11 voltage ranges for DPC series
