Lainate, May 2012 – Carlo Gavazzi Automation, the international electronics Group with activities in the design, manufacture and marketing of electronic equipment, today launches the RGS..DIN which enables RGS solid state relays to be correctly mounted on the DIN rail, by means of a dedicated DIN adaptor.
The RGS..DIN series complements the RG range by offering a compact DIN- mountable solution designed to meet the requirements of low rated loads for heater switching.
The DIN adaptor has a small aluminium plate, which permits a rating of 10AAC at 40°C operating temperature when installed on the smallest RGS solid state relay. The adaptor can be pre-assembled on the RGS by the factory, but it can also be purchased as an accessory – RGS1DIN – to be mounted on the RGS solid state relay by the user.
Furthermore, as the heatsink is not exposed, a connection to Protective Earthing is not necessary, reducing installation costs, while the Integrated protection with varistor on the output ensures reliable operation.
