Lainate, July 2012 – Carlo Gavazzi Automation, the international electronics Group with activities in the design, manufacture and marketing of
electronic equipment, presents Guardian2, an overhead sensor which combines automation and safety in both curved and straight sliding door
installations. Equipped with the latest digital video camera technology, this is the only device with both Uni- and Bi-directional modes available
in one single sensor. It operates within a wide motion zone – detecting moving objects only – and a presence zone, detecting both moving and
static objects.
This new Carlo Gavazzi device has been designed to ensure perfect door control and, at the same time, to watch over entrance and exit areas,
safeguarding the people in these areas. Thanks to its smart technology, Guardian2 is able to ignore cross traffic and to self-adjust, according to
changes in weather conditions and environment. Furthermore, the Guardian sensor is fitted with an advanced auto-control system, that
continuously checks internally and externally.

Developed by the Carlo Gavazzi engineering team in Hadsten (Denmark), the Guardian sensor can be easily adjusted, using a simple
screwdriver, and fine-tuned by pressing a button. Moreover, it is both TÜV-certified according to DIN 18650-1 and UL-certified according to
UL325.
